What is Lifee?

Lifee is a new way to communicate and interact with your friends online. It's not a "Social Network" - we actually are not very fond of that term because it sounds clinical and unpleasant. We believe that sharing your thoughts and life events with your friends should be fun and rewarding and that's why we built Lifee. Unlike other places, Lifee allows your friends to react to your posts by commenting or badging and everyone earns points and achievements for everything they do on the site. The more points you earn, the better the achievement and the more achievements you earn the better the prizes - so get going!

It looks like the circus got busy with the teletubbies, what's up with the design of this place?

What, do you have a problem with cute? Do you hate kittens and babies too? Honestly, take a step back, take two deep breaths and remember what it was like to have simple, silly fun with your friends. Lifee is not the place for sharp edges and desaturated themes - we are breathing life back into social on the web and refuse to believe that anyone can be greeted by Lifeesaurus and not giggle just a little. If you crack a smile at any point when using Lifee then we have succeeded. You're welcome.

Is Lifee a game?

Yer darn tootin' it's a game! But then again, what isn't? Work is a game, looking for a parking space is a game, etc - why shouldn't interacting with your friends online be a game? There are enough places on and offline to be serious and grown up - this is not one of them. We decided that if you are going to take the time to post something for your friends to read then you should be rewarded, so we give you points. If your friends are going to take the time to read whatever wisdom you have posted, they too should be rewarded so we give them points too. If y'all are generous and give each-other badges you get points for that too. Your points add up to achievements, achievements add up to rankings and everything adds up to prizes. So get in there, have fun, and win at life!

How do I play?

Ok, don't freak out - You are playing right now! Using Lifee is how you play - posting, commenting, badging, inviting friends - everything earns you points, achievements, rankings and eventually prizes and awards. So don't give it up for free, post on Lifee instead and get something for your trouble!

How do I win?

You win by using the site - A LOT.

Is Lifee trying to be Facebook?

Nope. Lifee is actually a great compliment to Facebook. In fact, we think it's a better way to post to Facebook than Facebook. If you sync your lifee to your Facebook and post on Lifee, your status still goes to FB but you get points on Lifee (awesome) and your friends can comment on FB or (if they are smart) come back to Lifee to comment and badge and they can earn points too. We love Facebook and sincerely hope that every Facebook user syncs to Lifee :D
